Sophistication vs. Substance

I just can”t help but blog about this idea cause it’s been circling my mind for last few hours today and I can’t help but reflect upon myself if I had ever been sophisticated amidst people. Well for me, I’ve always thought that I wouldn’t ever need to build this facade around people. I’ve always had this belief that the best way a person can present him/herself in a crowd is by letting their natural character to shine through. Imagine conformity in its utmost climax, inside a room full of people who expect you to act like a lady even when you’re most certainly not. I promise that you will look awkward in attempting such an act. I’m not saying that people should act like monkeys in a zoo, but what I’m trying to imply is that people should always try be themselves no matter what the circumstance. To always remember who they are and what they’re taught whenever they go to social functions. If you’re truly sophisticated at heart then good for you, but if you’re not stop pretending to be and just have fun, just don’t burn the whole place down.

I’ve always tried to act like lady in social functions, but last night was one of the best parties I’ve even been to by far. Thanks Fran!

BTW Fran was exuding of elegance that night and so was everyone else, well uhm except for some parts ahahahaha

Spine

I cannot pretend to feel apathetic with all this ruckus happening around me. I mean you cannot ever to ask me to shut up about things I can not write about, it’s my nature. If I can’t write it, I’d talk about it. I’m as volatile as a dynamite.

I dream that one day you would knock on my door, that in your hand you were holding a peace offering that was a week overdue. I understood either way because I loved you. It didn’t matter how long it took, the only thing that mattered was you were there, prepared for the rain that my sobs would make. You were charming, the first time we met. I had thought that you were handsome, rich, wealthy in every aspect there was to a man’s life principle. You were guided by your dignity, the entity that drove you to reach certain heights that not any simple man could reach. You inspired me to push myself. You encouraged me to become the person that I have always envisioned since I was a young girl. I did not think that I could make it, but with your help, I truly became what I wanted to be. I felt complete, you made me complete.

I’m sorry, I didn’t catch your name. Did you say that you liked how my voice sounds? Well I liked yours too.

I noticed something different

Is it because I grew up? Is it because I outgrew my childishness and now I feel passive about most of the things I felt extremely zealous about before, or maybe I just wanted other things, bigger things. I mean sometimes I do feel different from other people. Alien in such a manner that I no longer wish to feel intimate with the people I used to love. To cling on by the edge of my pinky instead of grasping for an embrace to save my life from the deep and dark hole of despair and loneliness. Where did I lose you? When have I lost myself? Or maybe the right question to ask is, who did I find?

Oh btw sorry for the short hiatus haha :))
